Keytone

Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Keytone is a home screen app for Android. It does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet. The "Privacy policy" entry in its settings opens this page in your phone's browser.

What stays on your phone

Your installed apps. Keytone reads the list of apps on your phone so it can show them in its menu, and keeps your menu order and shortcuts in the app's own storage on the device.

Notification access (optional). If you grant it, Keytone counts the message notifications currently showing on your phone to display "N messages received" on the standby screen. It reads only how many there are and which app they came from, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

Do Not Disturb access (optional). If you grant it, Keytone uses it only to switch to the Silent profile when you choose it.

Purchases

Keytone is sold through Google Play. Payments are handled by Google; we do not receive your payment details. Google's privacy policy applies to the purchase.

Removing your data

Uninstalling Keytone deletes everything it saved on your phone. Keytone opts out of Android cloud backup, so there is nothing stored anywhere else.
